It's your lucky day!!! We have a show at the Laurelthirst in Portland, OR on August 9th, 2007 at 9:30 pm. The show will be $4 and we'll give you a copy of "Planks of Grass" with your admission. The band will be: Tom, Matt, Ben, Juliana, Mark, Bjorn and Dave.

Exciting news! The forthcoming new album "Planks of Grass" is almost complete. Soulseek users can downlad the latest version by connecting to my computer (snofoam). If you do want to download it, get "planks of grass mp3" as the other version is uncompressed. We're also playing shows in Brooklyn (August 3 and 7) and Portland (August 11 and 13). Lookout!

Holy shit! It's been over a year since the last time we updated our breaking news section. Or any part of our web site for that matter. But check it out: Hank Plank are currently hard at work on a brand new album in an undisclosed Brooklyn location. Word on the street is that these sessions are developing into a groundbreaking new sound, unlike anything Hank Plank has ever done before. We'll see about that. There may or may not be news from these sessions in the coming weeks...

Well, well, well. Hank Plank have reconvened in New York City. Currently in redevelopmental stages, Hank Plank NYC is Matt Donahue, Juliana Trivers, Ben Herzog and Mark Yokoyama. Gigs to follow shortly, we're working on some new Matt tunes (e.g. "Your Love is Like a Golden Shower") as well as a brand new tune by Mark, "Big 'ol Bag." We've been practicing and things sound pretty good. Now if we can only get off our butts and send some cds to bars so we can get some shows. Don't hold your breath.
Anyhow, New York is great. There is so much going on here. I guess it's pretty expensive, but worth it (so far). Plans for Portland shows are still in the works, but still top secret. When the information is declassified, however, y'all be the first to know. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I updated our news page. Shit.

Okay, here's another quick update about our upcoming shows. We will be at the Laurelthirst on Thursday, Jan. 4 at night, as well as happy hour every Saturday in January at the Mad Hatter. We still have some t-shirts to give away if you bring in the postcard we mailed you. If you aren't on our mailing list, e-mail Mark we have both regular and e-mail lists and send out a bulletin every month or so. We will also be giving away a limited edition live cd at these shows, so bring in your cards even if you already have a t-shirt. In February we will be giving out copies of the Hank Plank on Tour video so, er, lookout!

OOPS! Haven't really updated this part in a long time. My bad. Anyhow, things
are going really well. Please stop by in January as we are doing all the Saturday
Happy Hours at the Mad Hatter. We also have some shows at
the Laurelthirst in the new year. Yodar turned 26 yesterday! His mom got him
a nice vest. We have some top secret special ops projects in the works. This
is neither the time nor the place to divulge that information, unfortunately.

What can I say? We played a lot this weekend. It was fun. I really like playing.
I did get wicked tired, though, by the end. I've been listening to some recordings
under the pretense that I will be compiling a live CD. There are no details
yet. I'm not sure if I'm even going to get around to doing it. I DO know that
it's really hard to listen to hours and hours of us live. If we do end up making
a live CD it will probably be of very limited edition, not to mention dubious
quality. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi people!!!
Rocket to Venus is official. We have lots of new shows lined up. Should be a
blast. We have discovered that hipsters are too cool to fill out comment cards
(for the most part) so, fuck 'em! Who needs hipsters anyway? I'll try to post
some polaroids from our last show, too
